Lil Tigers (4-6)

Lil’ Tiger’s is a great way to get your child started in martial arts. This program focuses on the basics. Lining up, terminology, kicking and punching. From learning to tie your belt to being able to complete 5 push-ups; the tiger achievement stripe program helps students learn the value of establishing and achieving goals. Most of our tigers have gone on to graduate into ages 7-9 and older.

Kids (7-9)

Okinawan karate is known for providing many wonderful ways to improve focus, patience, and coordination in children. Our ages 7-9 karate class incorporates games, friendly competition, and exercise to grow self-confidence. Many of our parents have credited the program for contributing to their child’s overall happiness.

Kids (10-12)

The 10-12 Karate class curriculum prioritizes teaching self-control, verbal Jiu-Jitsu, and self-defense. With bullying on the rise we find it critical to make sure each student learns how not to allow false labeling and criticism from bullies to impact their self-esteem. Sparring, kata, and grappling are great tools found in karate to help kids flourish with high self-confidence.

Teenagers (13-17)

The Teen class offers a fun filled and safe environment for teens to focus their energy on productive activities. The belt ranking system offers them many goals to reach for. The teen curriculum embodies pad work, sparring, kata, and grappling. We find that goal oriented teenagers with high self-confidence are more likely to remain out of trouble, achieve good grades in school, and avoid drug use.

Considering how most participant’s ages vary from 22 to over 70, it’s never too late to begin your martial arts journey. Most often, there is no better time than now, so don’t wait!
